Disney Holds Longest-Running Show Honors

Did you know that there is a show at Walt Disney World that has the honor of being the longest running continually performed musical production in American theatre history? It has played to more than 10 million guests over its 37-year run. Any guesses as to what it is? It's the Hoop-de-doo Musical Revue, playing three shows nightly at Pioneer Hall in Disney's Ft. Wilderness Resort. The all-you-care-to-eat dinner show started its record-breaking run on June 14, 1974, as a means to generate revenue to offset the cost of building Pioneer Hall.

You can read more about the Hoop-de-doo Musical Revue on its official web page from the Walt Disney World site.
