Active/Retired Military Room-Only Discount

If you're active or retired military, you may already know that Disney is great about offering discounts for you and your family. And this fall is no different! They've just announced a room-only discount of up to 40% off at Walt Disney World Resorts for travel dates October 3, 2010 through October 1, 2011! Of course there are some dates that availability will be extremely limited: Nov. 24-26, 2010; Dec. 26-31, 2010; and April 17-20, 2011, for example. Also there may some restrictions and minimum stay requirements.

At this point, there is no "Military Salute" discounted park ticket currently available, but rumor has it that one will be introduced in early 2011.

With all military discounts, proper ID is essential. If you have questions about your eligibility, I highly recommend contacting the military-only resort at WDW, Shades of Green, with your questions. (While you're at the website, you might want to check out this great resort! Of course, not being military, I've never stayed there. But I hear it's wonderful.)

If you're interested in more information or a discount code to book this offer, you can email me at affordingthemouse (at) att (dot) net.

  1. Thanks for the info. May I add that the Shades of Green is wonderful. We stayed there twice. I would recommend anyone who is military to stay there ( especially if you are lower ranking enlisted military- rates are based on rank)
We also usually get our tickets from the Shades of Green.
