Registration for one of Disney’s most popular races is officially open! Disney’s Princess Half Marathon Weekend, sponsored by Lady Foot Locker, is scheduled for February 25-27, 2011, with the actual half marathon race taking plance on February 27. Additional activities include a Royal Family 5K and Royal Family Kids Races.
The ladies go all out for this race, donning everything from tiaras to fairy wings. And there are ample opportunities for photos with characters along the course. Yes, there will be seasoned, hard-core runners, but this is also a great race for those run for the fun of it and take things a bit less seriously. While the event is women-focused, men are not excluded. However, all awards are given to women, and men are placed in later starting corrals.
