OK, so I already noted in this post that one of my favorite attractions, It's a Small World, will be closed during our upcoming trip. Now, I have learned that a favorite restaurant, Flame Tree Barbecue, will also be closed. :( The schedule refurbishment will begin August 9 and last through September 19.
In Animal Kingdom FT BBQ is our favorite place to dine. The speed and ease of counter service is great with kids, and the seating for this eatery is tranquil and cool, even though it's outdoor. Best of all, the food is great and the portions are large. We usually share two adult entrees among our family of 4 and have enough for everyone. At around $10-12 per plate, this is a rare Disney food bargain.
I guess it's good for us to step outside the comfort zone a little and try something new. Anyone else have a Animal Kingdom favorite eatery?
