The Art of Animation Resort will be opening soon! But, as might be expected with such a large venture, it will be opening in shifts. First, expect to see the Finding Nemo family suites open by May 31. Next, the family suites in the Cars section open June 18. On August 10, the Lion King family suites will open. Finally, by September 15, the final Little Mermaid section will open with guest rooms--not suites.
While the Resort is in the Value category, the rooms and suites are slightly more expensive than other rooms and suites in the same category, but the difference is minimal over the course of a week's vacation, in my opinion. We're hoping to stay in a Little Mermaid room for our visit in the fall!
