Much to the dismay of my children, the Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure will officially close on Friday, May 18, to make way for the Phineas & Ferb/Agent P World Showcase Adventure that will open in late June. If you happen to be at WDW this week, go have one final adventure with Kim, Ron Stoppable, Wayne, Rufus, and the gang before they leave the World Showcase. (Reagan, my eldest daughter, recommends the France adventure.)
I'm sure we'll happily embrace the new Phineas & Ferb-themed adventure too

Phineas & Ferb Adventure Coming to World Showcase
My eldest daughter is very sad that Kim Possible will be making an exit, but I'm sure there are kiddos galore who will be excited to hear that Phineas & Ferb--and, of course, Perry the Platypus (Agent P)--will be getting their own World Showcase Adventure. No specific date has been given, but later this summer expect to see a similar experience to the Kim Possible one, except that guests will join Agent P in his secret agent exploits. This from the Official Disney Parks Blog:
All the would-be secret agents out there will find a great new interactive experience at Epcot this year.
Coming this summer, Disney Phineas & Ferb: Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure is based on the wily secret-agent alter-ego of Perry the Platypus – faithful pet to the title characters from Disney’s animated series “Phineas & Ferb.” Although just a simple pet to Phineas and Ferb, Perry turns into Agent P in each episode to help stop the misguided plans of his nemesis, Dr. Doofenshmirtz.
Epcot guests will transform into secret agents to help Agent P thwart some of Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s most daring plots. Agents will use a “high-tech secret agent device” to receive clues for each case. Solving the clues will take agents to different places throughout seven World Showcase countries at Epcot – Mexico Pavilion, France Pavilion, Germany Pavilion, Norway Pavilion, Japan Pavilion, China Pavilion and the United Kingdom Pavilion. Agents will scour each country for clues, evil “Inators,” and – with a little bit of luck – help Agent P defeat Dr. Doofenshmirtz.

Phineas & Ferb and the NHL?
Disney Consumer Products has announced that they will co-brand merchandise with the NHL (National Hockey League) for the 2011-12 season. Anybody else think this is an odd combo? Still, we love our Nashville Predators, so I can't wait to see the many products they come up with in this new collaboration. You can read the full press release with more inforation here.

Update: Character Meet-N-Greet Changes
As I mentioned in this post, several character meet-n-greets in Disney's Hollywood Studios have been delayed. However, I'm happy to report that the Winnie the Pooh meet-n-greet in the Art of Animation building is now open! We're also hearing that the Phineas & Ferb meet-n-greet will open by May 29, and the Cars 2 meet-n-greet will open on June 5. (In addition, Lightening McQueen will be replacing Herbie the Love Bug in the Lights, Motor, Action! stunt show at DHS beginning June 5!)

Character Changes Delayed
There were several character meet-n-greets scheduled to reopen this week at Disney's Hollywood Studios that have been delayed. No new date has been given for the opening of the new Phineas & Ferb meet-n-greet or the re-opening of the Art of Animation meet-n-greet that is replacing Lotso Huggin' Bear with Winnie the Pooh.
I'll update when I have confirmation that these have indeed opened.

Character Changes Coming to the Studios
You'll see a few changes at the meet-n-greets throughout Disney's Hollywood Studios in the coming months. We'll be saying goodbye to Lots-o'-Huggin Bear, as he leaves his post at the Magic of Disney Animation (you can still spot Lots-o' in the afternoon parade!). On May 16, Winnie-the-Pooh, who has a new movie opening on July 15, will be found in his place.
The Luigi's Casa Della Tires meet-and-greet will also be mixing it up a little. Lightning McQueen will leave the party on April 8, with Tow Mater staying behind until April 18. At that time, the area will be closed and re-themed for Cars 2, opening with the new look on May 16, well before the movie opens on June 24.
Finally, the promised Phineas & Ferb play-and-greet I told you about in this post is set to open on May 16 as well.
So, yep, May 16 is a big day for the characters at Disney's Hollywood Studios!
