I have a retraction to print. I have seen reports that Splash Mountain has now re-opened, with the newly-installed lap bars. But it would seem that reports that these bars would limit the maximum boat capacity to only 8, as I told you in this post, have apparently been grossly exaggerated (well, maybe not grossly...but, yes, exaggerated). I have been seeing photos on various fan sites since the re-opening that show some rows that still had 3 people across!
Don't get too excited...the extra time between boat launches is still in effect, which means the wait time will still be increased. But at least with this new development, we can hope that the increase won't be quite as significant. Fingers crossed!
