I'm a big fan of Give Kids the World, an organization that provides trips to Central Florida theme parks (yes, Disney World is one of their main destinations) for families with critically ill children. I hope to one day tour their village--it's pretty amazing--and perhaps have our whole family volunteer there when the girls are old enough.
Right now, a group of Disney fans have issued a $1 million challenge to raise funds for GKTW. It's called "The Power of 10." They're looking for 10,000 people who are willing to ask 10 friends to donate $10 to GKTW--and that, my friends, is how they arrive at the $1 million figure.
Consider yourself challenged! Let's hope at least 10 people read this (we have around 500 Facebook fans, so surely 10 can help...right?) and are willing and able to respond. To learn more, or to make a contribution, click here.
